For those who care, no, I haven't died, although I am a bit zombified... *Wanders in circles moaning "work...work..."*
...
*Shakes head clear* Sorry about that, anyway, my situation hasn't changed in the slightest, I'm still buried under a ton of work and haven't had much opportunity at all to draw anything beyond classroom doodles, which, while occaisonally interesting/funny/cute aren't of fantaticly high quality and are mostly drawn in purple biro. So yeah, I ain't getting much serious drawing done, but hey, I have 12-week summer holiday, and I intend to make good use of it
On a more personal note I have a new computer, which has allowed me to finally enjoy the sequel to my favourite RTS of all time (Supreme Commander) and of course... therefore replace that favourite with its improved sequel (SC: Forged Alliance) Forged Alliance takes the beautifully dynamic supreme commander controls and gameplay, and beefs it out with more units and a new campaign, without sacrificing any of its brilliance, the new campaign, in particular, is fantastic, it's played on a considerably larger scale, with huge maps and gigantic battles, even the first mission reaching the scale of SC's final mission, each faction has also been refined, making them more individual and each with now distinctly different tactics, the cybran have become a more full-on rush faction, and the UEF have taken a heavier defensive stance, whereas the Aeon retain their varied approach, newcomers the Seraphim also play very similarly to the Aeon, unsurprisingly to those who know the first game. So if you played and liked the first game, and have a nice meaty computer at your disposal, you should really pick this game up, if you haven't played the first game, but enjoy RTSs in general, you should also pick this up (The beefy computer is still a requirement). On the flip side, the game's complexity and unforgiving AI may be a deterrent to newcomers to the RTS genre, so if you're new to the genre you might want to try something like Command and Conquer first.
On a non-games personal note (interesting choice of word there actually) I've just finished watching the anime "Death Note" and have concluded it to be utterly fantastic, the characters are fantastic, the plot, intelligent, gripping, and with plenty of interesting twists and heartbreakers. If you're into thrillers and detective movies then this is really the anime for you. I can't really say much about it without revealing spoilers etc. (The plot moves really fast). So yeah, go watch it, NOW!
Final, FINAL note, I'm 18 now
Hope you all enjoyed your Easter
*Falls asleep*
